Once you have visited the Museum, please take the time to explore the ruins of the Bishops' Palace and find out about its remarkable history, through information boards and an audio guide available from the English Heritage website

You can also visit a wealth of local attractions (see below for a small selection). Bishop's Waltham is a charming place with a vibrant High Street, winner of the Fullers Village of the Year 2019 so well worth exploring. Opening Hours

Palace Grounds   Free to enter. 1st April - 30th September: Open daily from 10am - 6pm

1st October - 31st March: Open daily 10am - 4pm (closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day)

Special closures: 27-29th June 2025 (BW Festival - come and join us)

Museum: Free to enter. 3rd May - 26th October 2025: Open weekends  12 - 4pm, October 12 - 2pm
